# Welcome

FLASH is the news intelligence infrastructure for institutions and AI agents. Every article is read, analyzed, and structured by AI before it reaches you: importance, market sentiment, event type, and the entities involved arrive already attached, in 16 languages.

<a href="/pages/c1c2bf7d7c5c4cdb53233f70a53b30ff0cc71460" class="button primary" data-icon="rocket-launch">Quick Start</a> <a href="https://flash.im/terminal" class="button secondary" data-icon="terminal">Open Terminal</a> <a href="https://flash.im/newsroom" class="button secondary" data-icon="newspaper">Open Newsroom</a>

Two ways to consume it: the **API** (key required) and **RSS** (no key).

## Where to start

<table data-card-size="large" data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-rocket-launch" style="color:$primary;">:rocket-launch:</i></h4></td><td><h4>Quick Start</h4></td><td>Get a key with one Google sign-in and make your first call in minutes.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-table-list" style="color:$primary;">:table-list:</i></h4></td><td><h4>News Item Fields</h4></td><td>The full schema every news item carries, and how to render each field.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

## What you get

Four APIs, one key.

<table data-card-size="large" data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-newspaper" style="color:$primary;">:newspaper:</i></h4></td><td><h4>News Feed API</h4></td><td>Real-time stream of every analyzed article.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-ranking-star" style="color:$primary;">:ranking-star:</i></h4></td><td><h4>Top News API</h4></td><td>Ranked snapshot of what matters most, per category.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-bullseye-arrow" style="color:$primary;">:bullseye-arrow:</i></h4></td><td><h4>Match API</h4></td><td>Send what your page is about; get the news that fits.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-image-stack" style="color:$primary;">:image-stack:</i></h4></td><td><h4>NewsCover API</h4></td><td>Cover images matched to your headlines or keywords.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="success" %}
**And RSS, with no key at all.** The same analyzed news as an open feed, for readers, newsletter tools, and simple embeds.

<a class="button secondary">RSS Feed</a>
{% endhint %}

## What makes this different

Until now, putting news on a platform meant running a newsroom you never signed up for: write articles yourself or route them through community submissions, classify them, build the metadata, then match each story to each page by hand, with licensing exposure at every step. FLASH replaces that entire pipeline.

<table data-card-size="large" data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-bolt" style="color:$primary;">:bolt:</i></h4></td><td><h4>One request, the right news</h4></td><td>Send what the page is about and the news that belongs there comes back. No collection, no write, no classification, no matching on your side: receive the response and render it.</td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-brain" style="color:$primary;">:brain:</i></h4></td><td><h4>Analysis arrives done</h4></td><td>Every item arrives with <code>impact</code>, <code>sentiment</code>, <code>eventType</code>, <code>impactScore</code>, and <code>entities</code> attached.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" icon="scale-balanced" %}
**License-free**

AI agents deployed across **major outlets and primary institutional channels (central banks, regulators, governments)** read what they publish, cluster reports of the same event, and synthesize and rewrite them into a complete story. What carries over is the facts, not the text: the headline, summary, and body are new writing, composed differently from any source article.

This is how journalism has always worked: when one outlet breaks a story, others report the same event in their own words and credit the source. FLASH does the same. Every story credits the original outlet, and the API carries that credit in every item (`source`, `sourceUrl`).

An original work, with its sources credited: publish it on your platform freely.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" icon="language" %}
**16 languages, one integration**

The same item ships in English plus 15 translations at desk-grade quality. Every translation is a rendition of FLASH's own text, never of the source article, so the license-free position carries into all 16 languages.

The news your page needs, license-clean, in your users' language: one request.
{% endhint %}

## Coverage

Four categories. Sources are a curated set of major global outlets and primary institutional channels (central banks, regulators, governments), read in real time.

<table data-card-size="large" data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-bitcoin-sign" style="color:$primary;">:bitcoin-sign:</i></h4></td><td><h4>crypto</h4></td><td>Assets, protocols, exchanges, and the regulation around them.</td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-chart-line" style="color:$primary;">:chart-line:</i></h4></td><td><h4>economy</h4></td><td>Central banks, indicators, corporate action, and market moves.</td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-landmark" style="color:$primary;">:landmark:</i></h4></td><td><h4>politics</h4></td><td>Elections, appointments, legislation, and policy decisions.</td></tr><tr><td><h4><i class="fa-earth-americas" style="color:$primary;">:earth-americas:</i></h4></td><td><h4>geopolitics</h4></td><td>Conflict, sanctions, diplomacy, and security events between states.</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Primary institutional sources

Seven institutions are read directly. The announcement becomes an item the moment the issuer publishes, before any outlet reports it.

### Major outlets

Forty-four outlets across wires, financial and general dailies, broadcast, political media, international desks, tech, and crypto.

## See it live

FLASH Terminal and Newsroom run on the exact APIs in these docs. The search inside Terminal is the Match API, and the NewsCover Library inside Newsroom is the NewsCover API. Try your own contracts, tickers, and headlines there before writing a line of code.

## Use Cases

The table shows how each API maps to common UX surfaces, applicable across exchanges, prediction markets, data providers, research firms, and any other platform that wants news integrated.

With the full set integrated, you cover the complete cycle: a real-time feed (News Feed API), news attached to every asset and contract (Match API), and ranked highlights (Top News API).
